I lost my mother also almost 10 years ago. It still hurts when I hear all the ads about mothers day. I do have a mother-in-law but it is not the same. When I went to the store to buy her a card I had to leave it was so painful to read the cards that I had to leave. Now I have to have my husband buy his mom her cards. they need to do something but I really don%26#039;t know what cause nothing takes away the pain. I just talk to her when I get to missing her I know she is listning. It does make me feel better.

Hallmark made it up, in an effort to put a romance holiday (cards and collectibles) in a season where there is no big card-buying holiday.
